Ways to Volunteer

Foster

Would you like to provide foster care for a kitten or cat? Are you in the Boston area or in St. Thomas? We need families who will provide a temporary home, usually for 5-20 days, for our animals. Our foster families provide an invaluable service, helping to give a cat the extra socialization they may need prior to adoption, or a safe and calm home in which to complete a round of medication. We provide you with everything you need: crates, food, litter boxes, toys and more! If you are interested in fostering, please fill out this form.

On-Site Care

Come on over! Help to clean cages, feed, water and play with (socialize) kittens and young cats at OTR/MA located in Wellesley. In addition to direct care, we need photographers, social media posters, and people who will help with phone calls and paperwork. If you are interested in volunteering on-site, please fill out this form.

Community Service

We love working with high school and college age helpers and welcome teens looking for community service hours. Do a shift or two per week here at OTR/MA, a fundraiser at your school or make us some fleece blankets for our cats and dogs. We welcome your ideas and want to hear from you!

Transportation

We need volunteers who can pick up animals at Logan International Airport, Bradley International Airport, and T. F. Green International Airport and bring them to OTR/MA. We also need volunteers who can transport cats and dogs from the Virgin Islands to Boston in cabin in a carrier. If you will be taking a trip to the USVI soon and are willing to help out, please contact us at offtherocksrescue@gmail.com.
